Water and stain repellent product

1• TexGuard for water repellence and protection.

TexGuard wraps up each fibre with a protecting film: the supports are treated both below the surface and deep into the material. The efficiency of this protection allows fabrics to resist stains and dirt. This includes the most delicate materials. Liquids bead over the surface whilst dust is repelled.


2• TexGuard is an invisible protection.

TexGuard doesn’t modify the feel or texture.
TexGuard doesn’t modify a fabrics flammability and is suitable for use with fireproofing treatments. (This is confirmed by the civil air force in accordance with their testing procedures).

3• The use of TexGuard on textiles, carpet keeps “the as-new appearence” for a long time.

TexGuard treatment doesn’t modify colours. Textiles are not going through any kind of modification (no shrinking, no changes in appearance.

4• Much easier and faster maintenance.

In the case of a spill stain, the preventive TexGuard treatment prevents liquids or fat content (fruit, wine, beer, coffee, tea, soda, ketchup, oil, ice cream, yoghurt, chocolate…) from soaking into materials. Stains are easily eliminated.

Applicaton :

Apply the product with a low pressure pump sprayer with a flexible extension tube or manual spray gun as appropriate. (For TexGuard, Spray in one coat. Dries in 2 to 4 hours.)

A stain repellent treatment-laboratory tested. TexGuard has successfully achieved reference tests and conforms to all national and international standards.

■ Standard Spray Test (AATCC Test Method). This test method consists of measuring the fabric water repellency capacity.Water is poured onto the fabric held in a frame. The result is compared to international standards pictures. A TexGuard treated fabric obtains a result equal to 100% hydrophobia which corresponds to the 100 norm (ISAO 5). Thus, without modifying the fibre appearance, TexGuard proves its perfect water-resistance as well as protection against aqueous stains.

■Oil penetration test (Hydrocarbon Resistance Test - AATCC Test Method). This method allows the testing of fibre resistance to penetration by 8 different kind of oil that exhibit high penetration properties. Each oil penetration power is graduated from 1 to 8. Based on this scale, TexGuard treatment obtains an efficiency that varies between grades 4 and 6. Knowing that the cooking oils don’t exceed grade 2 of the oils used in this test, the efficiency of TexGuard can be guaranteed against greasy stains as well as for its oil resistance.

5• TexGuard : 2 formula.

TexGuard Heavy Traffic has the same properties as TexGuard but the formula is enhanced for better protection against stains.


The TexGuard Heavy Traffic treatment can be applied to all fabric, natural and synthetic. It improves resistance without changing appearance or texture. Surface fire retardant treatments retain their properties.


The 'as new' aspect is preserved: the treatment does not modify colours, which remain vibrant for longer. Fabric are not altered and do not shrink. Because it limits the penetration of liquids or fats (fruits, wine, sodas, coffee, tea, ice ...) the treatment simplifies the cleanup of accidental stains. Maintenance is easier and quicker. TexGuard Heavy Traffic remains active after a wash.

Tips and Tricks

  • In the case of a spill stain, act immediately! The older the stain, the more difficult it is to remove.
  • Take off the surplus. Remove liquid stains with the help of an absorbent paper, remove thick stains with the help of a spatula or a spoon.
  • Do not rub or spread the stain on the surface. It’s necessary to work on the stain from the outside towards the middle.
  • A regular maintenance. For example, the removal of dust allows a longer preservation of fabrics,carpets and treated wall-to-wall carpeting.
